UAE university - CIT building

UAE University is spread over 7 different campuses (maybe more!) all around Alain. Female students are all in one campus except for the Medical students who're in Tawam Hospital and IT students who are in Jimi campus.

The IT students study there because the administration thought that it's more convenient for the teaching staff to be in one place and female and male and female students there. So there is an 'open space' office for the teachers with two doors on each side, one to the female part of the building and the other for the male and each is open for two days every week.

Female IT students have to take courses in Maqam campus so it's very tiresome and not convenient at all for them to keep going back and forth. They won't have to go through that for much longer though because the IT building in Maqam campus is almost ready, you can check the pictures here.

With that the male students will be worse off (I'm in micro-economics class. :P) because they will have to travel back and forth between Jimi and Maqam, and there goes their allowances on petrol.

The IT building looks soo cool :)

Its pretty cool how we can see the building as it progresses, i can't wait to see it when its finished. Everyone is saying its going to be wayy nicer than Building 80 (the Engineering College).

Yeah, it looks so cool and I think they will have fountains too.

but that's not what I'm waiting for, I just need to know what coffee shops and restaurants are they opening. :D

No matter what happen, building 80 will always be the coolest building ever, I guess because of all the memories! I feel old; I have memories! :P

Finally, it's ready :p

I remember when I was still in highschool and they were talking about this building. It was supposed to be ready earlier like in 2002 or something :p

Biz,
as long as they OPEN it, I don't care where because I will go get it. I bet they won't have any good coffee shops or cafeterias for the boys! haha. poor them. :D

Esperanza,
That would be Building 80, Engineering building, Activity department building, or for short: New building. (These are all different names for the same building!)

Thanks for passing by gmj!

The IT building was supposed to be ready by now and the college staff should have started testing it and finish the move before the fall semester. I guess no one to go after the construction company with a 3gal, but we're still hoping they WILL open it next fall.

>>i wouldnt want to imagine the adminstration they must have.<<

UAE Univeristy you mean? had any experiences with them that you would like to share?

or are you talking about Alain in general?

>>because of the nationalities of those people holding big positions.<<

hmmmm. As far as I know, they're all Emarati's except for few Americans.

i think you are talking about the eGyptians, well they have been eradicated a few years ago from UAEU. they are no longer holding high positions, and things are running a bit smoother.
there's a little hope. Hey at least we have hope. ;)
